  • Exercises to help with vocal fatigue

You’ll receive high-quality technical problem solving and fixes using Estill Voice Training, a methodology for singing training used across the industry and in many top drama schools.

Who will you work with?

These sessions are led by Guy Hughes, who works regularly with professional actors and young performers to help with their vocal development and preparations for auditions.

He trained in Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music under renowned vocal coaches Anne-Marie Speed, founder of the Voice Explained, and Mary Hammond, vocal coach to Chris Martin of Coldplay, Tom Odell and many other household names. He has taught and/or delivered workshops at some of the top drama schools in the UK (including most recently at Italia Conti, Urdang Academy and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School).

Guy has provided vocal coaching sessions for actors working in various parts of the industry, from West-End musicals (most recently, Hamilton, Victoria Palace Theatre), through to West-End plays, RSC, National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe. He is also a West-End Creative Learning Practitioner, providing workshops and training in ATG’s 16 London West-End Theatres.

  • 1:1 Vocal coaching sessions are based on the following rates:

    60 minutes @ £60

    Any sessions longer than an hour are calculated at the rate of £60/hour.

  • All in-person sessions take place at Mickleburgh Studios, 1-9 Stokes Croft, Bristol, BS1 3PL

    All online sessions take place on Zoom

  • In order to get the most out of the session, it will be useful for you to bring some repertoire you have been working on previously. We will then be able to recommend repertoire after the first session.
