  • Vocal Coaching for Performers

    We provide specialist 1:1 vocal coaching sessions for professional performers who are working right across the industry, from West End Musicals through to Festivals/Concerts. All vocal technique is based on Estill Voice Training and is backed-up by fresh and up-to-date industry experience.

  • Singing lessons for adults

    Whether you’re looking for regular singing lessons, or just want to try some sessions to explore the joy of singing for the first time, we will help you build up a reliable vocal technique in a trusted, safe and enjoyable manner.   • Public Speaking Coaching

Who are we?

The Vocal Studio is run by Guy Hughes, who currently leads on the vocal and performance training. He brings a wealth of experience working as an actor, musical director and composer at leading theatre companies across the country, including performances at Shakespeare’s Globe (London), Barbican (London), Royal Shakespeare Theatre (Stratford-upon-Avon), Bristol Old Vic, Edinburgh Lyceum, as well as numerous international tours around Europe and America, including Brooklyn Academy of Music, (New York) and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

He has taught singing and acting on Degree and Diploma courses at some of the top drama schools in London, including Italia Conti and Urdang Academy, and is also currently a West End Creative Learning Practitioner with ATG Theatres.

Guy trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, studying Musical Theatre Performance (PGDip with distinction) as well as gaining his teaching qualification in singing (LRAM with distinction), studying with esteemed vocal coaches Anne-Marie Speed (founder of The Voice Explained) and Mary Hammond (vocal coach to numerous household names including Chris Martin, Lily Allen and Tom Odell).
